I want. .To rear a fainting goat! Have you seen those videos of fainting goats? Well, I only know of the fainting goats from an episode of Mythbuster! They have seen the video online and were wondering if the fainting goats are fake, Well, it turns out that the fainting goats are actually real! The fainting goat is a breed of domestic goat whose muscles freeze for about 10 seconds when the goat is startled. It doesn't hurt the goat, but the animal collapsing on its side. The characteristic is caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. When startled, younger goats will stiffen and fall over. Older goats learn to spread their legs or lean against something when startled, and often they continue to run about in an awkward, stiff-legged shuffle. I know it sounds cruel. But they are really cute when they do that. I mean, it doesn't hurt them physically! Not too sure if they are emotionally hurt when people startle them just for the sake of seeing them fall on the ground. No, I do love animals. Just that, they are really cute when they are startled! =0( ~Ellepedia~ at 7:50 AM | |
