If Nut can cook, so can you! - Oreo on the Mountain Top

I have one shopping review to do today but oh well, I am having some bad headache and I did chocolates today! I can't really bake very well. I have so many failed attempts before succeeding! =D So, if I can cook/bake/make them, so can you! =D

Today, I did chocolates which I named them Oreo on the mountain top. =D Corny name I know! But I got this recipe from yueying and yeaps, kind of changed the original cocoa powder to Oreo. I have many friends that dislike the cocoa powder I used from before. Although whipped cream is added, there is still this faint bitterness in the chocolate and as you know, cocoa powder is bitter and it makes the chocolate a little bitter. But well, I always assume chocolates with this faint taste of bitterness are high class. Ahem!

So what are the ingredients? I may not give measurement/quantity for some because I go with my gut feeling!

- 25GM of butter (*picture shown is not 25GM)
- Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips (*prefer hersheys!*)
- 200ml of Whipped Cream
- One roll of Oreo!

I halved the butter to make it 25GM. =D

Boil water in a pot

Place a bowl/smaller pot in the pot of boiled water to melt the butter and whipped cream

Dump in the butter when water boils. Stir the butter. =D Because butter burns easily so that explains the melting of butter this way instead of direct heat from the stove

Stir till the butter melts and prepare whipped cream

Pour in the whipped cream. All of it and start stirring.

Continue to stir until butter and whipped cream are blended together

Prepare the chocolate chips in a bowl. How many? Erm...Gut feeling

Pour in the hot butter/whipped cream mix into the chocolate chip slowly, scoops at a time and start stirring. Stirring until the chocolates have melted and gives a nice chocolately brown. If the color of the mixture is like super light, just add in more chocolate chip.

After stirring, place the mixture in the freezer for 2hrs.

Now, take the Oreo biscuit and mashed them. =D Because I do not have a food processor, I used spoon to do it and trust me, it's tedious! XD Crush well with some bigger pieces. =D

After two hours, take the mixture out of the bowl and use a spoon to scoop an amount desired and plop them into the oreo crumbs and roll them. Because I named it Oreo on the Mountain Top, I randomly made big chunks and rolled them in Oreo. Fine, it's because I am lazy to make pretty shapes!

XD I was being lazy and decided to use my cammie to take picture of the end product. Honestly, they look great in those random shapes! But well, out of shape is the best. Afterall, it's called Oreo on the Mountain Top.

The amount I bought was enough to make two plates full of them. Big plates. And the ingredient cost is $13.00++. =D
I hope you try it! Haax! The Cooking with Dog syndrome is getting into me! =D
Try it at home! If Nut can cook, so can you! =D
