Why major screw up?

Oh great, I am getting super lazy recently! I have loads to say, but to type them out is tough! The only adventure - NUS interview.

Why I called it a major screw up? I said stupid things! But I am very happy because he said I have got good grades for both poly and Os and if I did A maths in secondary school, I would have got marvellous grades. But actually, I very well know I suck at maths in secondary school! =D He also mentioned that he notice how much I improved from each semester but he did asked me about my semester 1 maths!

But still, I talked crap!

~Ellepedia~ at 7:22 AM

Major screw up.

Yes. Major screw up for the NUS Department of Physics interview. I can't even bear to go recall what I've said because I am just so ashamed with my brainless replies!

=0( Why must he be from NYP -Astro Club!
And I express my apologies to my COMM SKILLS and OE Maths lecturer!
And yes, my physics teacher in Secondary school!

I am so going to go to a corner to mop.

Earth Hour - I voted for Earth.

Even Dong Dong turn off her light(s) at Earth Hour.

Earth Hour just ended at 9.30pm. Did you vote for Earth? I looked out at my neighbourhood a few times during Earth Hour and was super disappointed. Lights on. Worst, lights on with nobody in the room. Singapore flats are so closely packed, so we can actually see into rooms of our neigbours easily. =D

Nothing is more frustrating than the lights being on with nobody using it on Earth Hour. At home, lights and fans were off-ed and laptop on battery mode. And I am making it an effort to make 1am lights off and laptop off. And our room air-conditioner is down. My moomoo had wanted to get a set of new air-conditioner. But we installed wall fans first with the intention of getting a new set of air-con later. Now, I think we had better not. Not only does it saves $$, we save our skin/hair from drying and it also saves the earth! The sound from the fan puts me to sleep and I wake up each day with lesser bad hair day problems because it isn't as dry as before. =D I am a super light sleeper but I am happy to have the sound from the fan put me to sleep. =D See, if you do something that benefits yourself and the earth, why not luh!

I noticed certain things from reading peoples' reaction to Earth Hour. First, in Singapore, when you do something positive, people put you down. Second, if others don't do it, you don't do it. Third, people just have the "it's not my business" mentality. Fourth, many people go "it's just an hour! How much does it affect?!". Fifth, "how much can one hour save? also not everyday". Sixth, "for what? It's not our problem, but the problems of the next generation".

First, being nice isn't something to be ashamed of. I mean, for goodness sake, just because someone decides to turn of their lights for that particular day doesn't mean that they are "fake earth lovers". I always thought it was dumb to say that. I mean, what does that person gain from trying to be a "fake earth lover"? At least it helps the earth and promotes earth hour too. No harm~

Second, if other's don't do it, you also don't do it. Pathetic. Nice trying to find an excuse for being lazy. Why PUB don't do a shut down? Why HDB don't shut down the corridor lights? Then it defeats the purpose if PUB were to shut down. It's supposed to a part that we play, not the gahment trying to force us. And the corridor lights cannot be shut off because we have weird people in Singapore who will do funny things. But I thought it would be great if they did off a few corridor lights. It doesn't totally create darkness.

Third, it's-not-my-business-mentality. It's always the case. Is it really a trait of us as Singaporeans? Remember the experiment where they place a few children on the streets posed as victims of child abuse with results showing that most people just walk pass them or look at them? Karma~ With such mentality, when you are down and in need of help, you'll get slapped with the it's-not-my-business attitude. We learn in books that what ever that happens to others affect you. So is it still your business? It goes to show how much love we have for our fellow humans.

Fourth, it's just an hour. It's not JUST an hour. Remember the show Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium? The Just-Guy? Because it's always "just" something that people don't really see the wonder in things and how great an impact is has. There are so many people in the world (*and I do not want to bombard you with numbers*) and if everyone were to spare that ONE hour, it's no longer JUST an hour. And besides that, it's main purpose is to create awareness. Remember, they need to convince gahment to support them in whatever they are doing to safe Earth. And by having this Earth Hour thing, people with the ability to make a difference (*read: gahment*) will know that they are many people in their own country that are supportive of it. And if you have all along been saving electricity and doing your part in saving earth, there's no need to put this day down as it being a gimmick or a hyprocrite day. Since you have been all along saving electricity, will it hurt you by turning off the light for an hour in this particular day?

Fifth, same as the fourth one. If you know nuts about what Earth Hour is all about then, better read up before you start putting people down or start ranting at how fake and redundant this day is. It does have an impact on me. But that may be because I was tuning into Nat Geog channel for that hour and have learnt about the harmless (*means = little work required*) ways to cut down on energy used. And I believe we always use electricity more than we need.

Sixth, it's not our problem, but the problem of the next generation. Same as it's-not-my-business. It's not a dog-eat-dog world. It's because we want to believe it's a dog-eat-dog world so that we can just forget about being a nice person. =.=

It's like you are at a rock concert with the rockers trying their best to liven things up and there are a few people rocking their heads to the beat while others are sitting with their butt glued to the chair watching the concert like it's some classical/musical play. You know, I don't see how hard it is to turn the lights off just for that hour of that day. You know, recycling a soda can can power your teevee for 3 hours. Ya, it's JUST a soda can but it's 3 hours!

Time

I hate waiting. Absolutely. I haven't been updating much recently even though I have so many interesting things to share. Been heading to the beach lately, resulting in multiple sun burn.

Sighs. Ever since submitting my results for university admissions, I have been super duper worried. Although I am someone who absolutely hates planning, there are still certain things that I want to follow by plan.

Ever since I was a kid, I made a plan of what I will be doing after I graduate from secondary school. To enter a university and NIE. Don't ask me why I do not want to go to JC. Because I know how much I hate JC lifestyle.

A perfect day at the beach. I love heading to beaches. Like absolutely. But you know, although I love laying down in the sun, I hate getting tanned. But I love the feeling of laying down with the Sun shining down. It's perfect.

I would so love to travel around the world tasting the different kinds of food in the world and visiting the beautiful beaches in the world. Oh I wish. =D

Reasons for not blogging

I have many titles/topics saved in blogger waiting to be tidied and posted. But I think I am suffering from mild rashes due to sun burnt skin and my tightened face isn't helping much. Besides that, I am also suffering from ulcers in my mouth which makes me very frustrated.

Among my tanning experiences/sun burn experiences, this is sort of the worst. In a sense, the pain afterwards is totally unbearable. And I stupidly scratched my back just now. *Ouch!* And the problem is, my face is drying and cracking! I have never had my face cracked to this extent. We spent less than an hour in direct sunlight because most of the time we were under the shelter! But why burnt to this extent? I have no idea why! And I so regret clipping my fringe, because my forehead is also burnt! *ouch*

You know, recently I feel this change in my piorities. My ulcer's starting to itch again! Shall update soon with proper entries!

Great match | Burnt Skin | Happy by the beach

Hey lovelies!

Just a quick update because I am super tired! Last night's match was great! Liverpool 5 - 0 A. Villa.

Today headed to the beach with Yueying. The Sun was being too nice to us today. Just less than 30mins of Sun made my skin burn and it's burning now! Very much like a lobster! I used to stay for hours in Sentosa before but never this burnt! =D

Got terrorized by monkey (*real monkey!*) today but all thanks to the nice person, the monkey left us alone for a little while. =D But I suspect that it's due to yueying's high pitch screaming and running away that made the monkey very excited!

Super tired after everything although we were lying there the whole day. Weird!

I want. .

To rear a fainting goat! Have you seen those videos of fainting goats? Well, I only know of the fainting goats from an episode of Mythbuster! They have seen the video online and were wondering if the fainting goats are fake, Well, it turns out that the fainting goats are actually real!

The fainting goat is a breed of domestic goat whose muscles freeze for about 10 seconds when the goat is startled. It doesn't hurt the goat, but the animal collapsing on its side. The characteristic is caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. When startled, younger goats will stiffen and fall over. Older goats learn to spread their legs or lean against something when startled, and often they continue to run about in an awkward, stiff-legged shuffle.

I know it sounds cruel. But they are really cute when they do that. I mean, it doesn't hurt them physically! Not too sure if they are emotionally hurt when people startle them just for the sake of seeing them fall on the ground.

No, I do love animals. Just that, they are really cute when they are startled! =0(

Fulham 2 - 0 Man United and 22nd March from Wikipedia

One of the reasons why I particularly love watching Liverpool play is because of their attitude towards themselves and other players. That is no wonder Man U are referred to as the Red Devils while Liverpool, the Reds.

Super happy that Man U lost again. =D Yes, watched Ronaldo whining away, Rooney throwing temper and basically, being violent. I always believe that, when you lose your cool, you are gone. But Ronaldo was way too whiney and petty. He is the bitch on the field. Totally.

Yay for Fulham! =D

Okay, it's 22nd March already! I actually find it fun checking out the events on the 22nd of March years ago and the birthday babies on this very day! =D

So, what happened years ago on the 22nd of March?
1622 - Jamestown massacre: Algonquian Indians killed 347 English settlers around Jamestown. (*Intially, the Indians came to their town unarmed, with food to sell when they suddenly grab tools/weapons in sigh and killed any English settlers in sight. =0( I am not too sure what's the cause. But I guess, another problem with skin color?*)

1638 - Anne Hutchinson is expelled from Massachusetts Bay Colony for religious dissent.

1849 - The Austrians defeat the the Piedmontese at the Battle of Novara.

1873 - A law is approved by the Spanish National Assembly in Puerto Rico to abolish slavery. (*slavery, what can I say?*)

1888 - The Football League is formed. (*It is also known as the Coca-Cola Football League. It is the oldest of such competition in World Football. It was the top level footvall league in England from its foundation until 1992 when the top 22 clubs split away to form the FA Premier League. Since 1995, it has had 72 clubs evenly divided into 3 divisions, which are currenly known as the Championship, League One and League Two. Footie Ball!*)

1895 - The first display of motion pictures by Auguste and Louis Lumier. (*Two brothers, they are considered one of the earliers film maker.*)

1916 - The last Emperor of China, Yuan Shikai, abdicates the throne and Republic of China is restored. (*An important Chinese general and politician famous for his influence during the late Qing Dynasty, his role in the events leading up to the abdication of the last Qing Emperor of China.*)

1933 - President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signs into law a bill legalizing the sale of beer and wine. (*Yay, beer!*)

1943 - WWII: the entire population of Khatyn in Belarus is burnt alive by German occupation forces.

And who do you share this day with? Do you have friends whom have their birthday the same as you?

1983 - Dagoberto, Brazillian footballer

1992 - Luke Freeman, English footballer.

Huh? Why so little people? I realized there ain't many footballers born on this day! More basketballer actually!

Some major events in the world. Honestly, I never understand why there are racial discrimination or conflicts arising from religion. I understand that it's normal to have people you dislike, but it's not normal to dislike that person just so because he/she is from a particular religion group or of a particular skin color. Religion is a belief and not everyone believe in the same thing! So, you have to murder each other just because you all have different beliefs? I can only say, don't blame it on religion, blame it on the person. There's a hundred and one reason for a criminal to justify his actions and yes, there are people pushing the blame on the religion.

If you have no SCV . . .

To prevent eye-sore, I didn't want to watch the Fulham V Man United match on SCV. You know what an eye-sore Ronaldo is?! And reading the article on Danny Murphy makes me want to know the match details and all!

Yay! Danny Murphy! =D Anyway, if you have no SCV/no method of watching the match or you purely can't stand watching Ronaldo, then go here.

21st March - Summary from Wikipedia and a little help from Google Images

(*Any wrong info, do inform me! =D*)

It's the 80th day of the year and in astrology, it is the first full day of the sign of Aries and the traditional first day of the astrological year - I didn't know that!

So what are the events that happened years ago on this day? Like the usual, just some events that I am familiar with.

1188 - Accession to the throne of Japan by Emperor Antoku (*I always love the idea of royality. Emperor Antoku (安徳天皇 Antoku-tennō) (December 22, 1178 – April 24, 1185) was the 81st emperor of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession. His reign spanned the years from 1180 through 1185.*)

1413 - Henry V (picture below) becomes King of England (*Why he got such a common name? Anyway, Henry V (9 August 1387[1] – 31 August 1422) was one of the most significant English warrior kings of the 15th century. He was born at Monmouth, Wales, in the tower above the gatehouse of Monmouth Castle, and reigned as King of England from 1413 to 1422. And he invented the passport!*)

1556 - In Oxford, Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cranmer (picture below) is burned at the stake (*=0(*)

1844 - The original date predicted by William Miller for the return of Christ

1857 - An earthquake in Tokyo kills over 100, 000 (*=0(*)

1905 - Albert Einstein publishes his theory on special relativity. (*I mean, he is really darn smart! *)

1918 - World War I; Second Battle of the Somme begins (*=0(*)

1970 - The first Earth Day proclamation is issued by San Francisco Mayor Joseph Alioto

1980 - US President Jimmy Carter announces a US Boycott of 1980 Summar Olympics in Moscow to protest the Soveit Invasion of Afghanistan

1998 - Good Friday Agreement signed in Northern Ireland

2002 - British schoolgirl Amanda Dowler is abducted in broad daylight on her way home

People you share your birthday with! =D

1961 - Lothar Matthaus, German Footballer

1963 - Ronald Koeman, Dutch Footballer and manager

1964 - Ahmed Radhi, Iraqi International football star

1969 - Ali Daei, Iranian footballer

1973 - Stuart Nethercott, English Footballer (*on the left*)

1974 - Jose Clayton, Tunisian Footballer

1980 - Ronaldinho Gaucho, Brazillian Footballer

1988 - Lee Cattermole, English Footballer

And in the different part of the world, what holiday/observances are there on the 21st of March?

It's the Persian (*Iranian*) New Year's Day! =D

It's the Vernal Equinox Day in Japan.

It's Independence Day in Namibia, Harmony Day in Austrialia and Truant's Day in Poland.
Truant's Day? Is it a day where people play truancy on this day?

It's Human Rights Day in South Africa and World Poetry Day! =D

It's also the third day of Quinquatria in ancient Rome. The Quinquatria was a festival sacred to Minerva.

It's also Mother's Day in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. I always thought Mother's Day is celebrated on the same day throughout the world!

And it's St Nicholas of Flue day. This is interesting! He was borned on 21st March 1417 and died on 21st March 1487?! He was a Swiss hermit and ascetic who is the patron saint of Switzerland. He is sometimes invoked as Brother Klaus.

So yea. =D

Odd

I have been feeling so odd recently! Besides the fact that I refused to eat chocolates besides the one that I make on my own, I have been have really random and odd dreams.

And I wake up feeling super tired and every part of each dream have no link. And the dreams are very faint. Last night, I dream that I was to get married with this guy I have never seen. It seems like a forced marriage and I asked my mumee what does he work as? She told me he's working as a technician or engineer (*i forgot*) in Yishun and I was like O-M-G. And I left during the wedding and I was on run constantly! Tried calling my friends to like meet me and help me but none of them was available on phone! And ended up, I was caught - with guns and my dream ends here.

I kind of forgot what I dream about this morning, but I am super sure it's stupid! Oh gosh!

And I have this tendency to feel super tired at like 9pm to 10pm, but after this timing, I will be super energetic! Any explanations?

~Ellepedia~ at 8:32 PM

Odd

Ever since I started making my own chocolates (*Read: HERE*), I do not eat chocolates bought from outside!

20th March

Happy Birthday (*if it's your birthday*)! May happiness comes your way and all around you!

Well, you see, I was browsing through my past blog entries and realized it's Torres's birthday so I decided to start this blogging habit. With each day, you will read about what happened in History (*from the History channel and my trusty wikipedia*) and who are you sharing your birthday with!

I am sure History Channel and Wikipedia won't mind me crediting them since I am just sharing knowledge with everyone! =D

So, today is the 20th March 2009! And that is the 79th day of 2009!
So what happened years ago on this day? (*Note: Will only be blogging about the ones that I am more familiar with*)

1602- The Dutch East India Company is established. Everyone should know this actually! Who doesn't know about the Dutch East India Company?!

1861- An earthquake completely destroys Mendoza, Argentina.(*Note: Sighs*)

1914- In New Haven, Connecticut, the first international figure skating championship takes place. (*Note: Ooooh! I love watching those elegant figure skaters!*)

1916- Albert Einstein publishes his general theory of relativity. (*Note: I am quite a physics geek! Have you ever wondered how these great people make their discoveries? Like how did the idea even crossed their mind? Perhaps we are all so contented with our lives that we just missed some detail in life that might be like contributing to a new discovery right? So cool!*)

1969- John Lennon and Yoko ono were married. (*Note: Happy 40 years anniversary!*)

1974- Ian Ball attempts, but fails, to kidnap Her Royal Highness Princess Anne and her husband Captain Mark Phillips in The Mall, outside Buckingham Palace, London. (*Note: Yays! Kidnap attempts failed! I love the idea of Princesses/Princes/King/Queen and the whole lot! Instead of President and all!*)

And, so, who are the people sharing the birthday with you? =D

1982 - Tomasz Kuszczak, Polish footballer (*Some goal keeper from Man U. Not very happy to share your birthday with him eh?*)

1982 - José Moreira, Portuguese footballer

1984 - Fernando Torres, Spanish footballer (*Ah, need I say more? Happy? More than happy! =D *)

1987 - Daniel Maa Boumsong, Cameroonian football player

1987 - Patrick Boyle, Scottish footballer (*I kind of find this name very familiar*)

1987 - Pedro Ken, Brazilian footballer

1987 - Jô, Brazilian footballer

Unpredictable

Went to buy another academic transcript - there goes S$5.35. Anyone nice enough to explain to me why I need to pay so much for an official academic transcript?

Anyway, I bought face wash gel which includes a facial scrub and yes, another pot of hair wax. And, not forgetting my favourite JAGABEE!

This pot of wax is for damaged hair. Gives a straight and sleek look while treating your hair with care. =D Good for my damaged ends. Intending to give my hair a good hair dye, but decided not to. Besides wanting to keep my hair dark, I also do not want to put my hair in anymore stress. Had rather use the money to invest on hair treatment stuffs. Yes, I place high importance in my hair.

And the Himalaya Herbals face gel and scrub. I saw this at the Pharmacy at the Polyclinic when I was there with Christina yesterday. Had wanted to get it but decided to check out this product online. I am super glad I did not buy it there because there's this promotion at Watsons! =D I am much of a cheapskate girl.

And. . . my beloved JAGABEE! I absolutely had no idea JAGABEE is so nice! It taste like real potatoes! Unlike the potato chips! It's absolutely yummmy!

Just look at it! The insides are like really squashy yet crunchy. You know what I mean? Nopes? Buy it and try it! I was wondering what's the big deal about JAGABEE until my very first stick of JAGABEE. Yummy! =D

Because I have no scanner and I have to scan my academic transcipt, I resorted to using my Secret's 5M camera. It works well and my superb positioning of the camera and paper skill makes it look like it's scanned! =D

Finally caught the repeat of Liverpool Vs Man United match. Although it's very much different from watching it live, it was worth it. Vidic and Teves deserve to have their head banged against the wall. I love Dossena's goal alot. So quick! =D

O dear, I hate making personal attacks. But C. Ronaldo look like a mutated imitation Chicken Little who needs hair wash desperately. I am off! Most probably heading to school - NYP tomorrow. Feels weird to not belong to any school so Nanyang Technological University, please accept me soon! And MOE, accept me soon too.

A mix of the happier stuffs and not so happy stuffs

I am wondering if I should start blogging the happier or the not-so-happy (*heavier but senseless*) stuffs. I wanted to start with the happier stuffs first because it's more enjoyable blogging about them but then I think it's so mean of me to end the blog entry with such senseless and pointless stuffs.

I am...
Laughing while typing this entry..

And wondering while tying this entry.

Anyway, I happen to be watching some old MVs of our Singapore songs. Songs like "We Are Singapore", "Where I belong", "Home" and "Count on me Singapore". Listening to them nearly made me cry. I used to love these songs. I used to feel so much singing all these songs and I used to be very patriotic. Like really. But that was years ago.

Because I look around now, things aren't the same anymore. I know things change. But changing for the better or the worst is a whole lot different thing. Singapore is more like a hotel than my sunny island I call home. The increase in foreign talents/workers have been changing things. I do not care if they are holding jobs/snatching jobs from us or not since I am not working now. But the ability to get the Singapore Citizenship makes me a Singapore citizen worthless. I mean, rarity = invaluable. But anyone can come over to get that citizenship (*that is how I see*). I am at peace with most nationals. But even at home, I have what I call personal space which I seriously need - my study room where I can do my own things and change the furniture and the decorations in there. That is what I call personal space. That is the same of myself living in my own country. There isn't something to identify myself with now.

There are times I wonder if the government is taking the short cut to things. But I then again, I know nuts about running the country. To increase the compeition to increase the standard in Singapore, they bring in foreign elites to pressure us. This reminds me of parents pressurizing their children by comparing them with better children and end up? Their kids snap and things go so wrong it's impossible to change. To battle the decrease in babies in Singapore, they allow foreigners to bring their family along - to increase the population in Singapore. Perhaps, that is why the number of babies still refuse to go up. There is no need for us Singaporeans to give birth anyway since the government will bring them in. But the problem is, saying such things don't make a difference! Things remain that way. =D Things would be best if we could migrate. =D

On the happier note, there have been many happier things happening to me. (*Using the happier and not happy because they are happier than normal but not exactly to the stage of happy*) Some notable things are my results and liverpool's results and some travelling plans.

After Liverpool's win against Real Madrid, they went on to beat the Man United in Old Trafford. =D A nice score of Liverpool 4 - Man United 1. I ddn't catch the match because I was working at the IT Show. Honestly, if I had known that the dates would clash, I would forgo the chance of earning more money. Because to me, time is more important than money. Don't question my logic, you can't change it! =D Super happy! =D It made me smile like an idiot during the IT Show.

Liverpool 4

Torres - 28′ GOAL! Terrible play from Vidic (don’t see that happen too often) on the long-ball to Torres. Torres goes in all alone, and he beats Van der Sar easily. Vidic misjudged the ball and whiffed horribly on it, allowing Torres to get in behind him. That’s a shocker. (*Taken from : Soccerlens.com*)

Gerrard - 44′ GOAL! Gerrard steps up and Van der Sar starts jawing at him. Gerrard sends it low and to his right, and Van der Sar guesses correctly, but can’t keep it out. Gerrard then kisses the badge and Liverpool fans are feeling good. (*Taken from :Soccerlens.com*)

Aurelio - 76′ GOAL! Aurelio takes the free kick from the edge of the box, and it’s a wonderfully struck ball that curls over the wall and Van der Sar doesn’t even move as it goes into the net! (*Taken from :Soccerlens.com*)

Position: Defender

Dossena - 90′ + 1 GOAL Not sure how this happened. Long goal kick from Reina and it’s more sloppiness from the United defense. This time O’Shea is the culprit as he misjudges the bounce and Dossena gets behind him. He chips it over Van der Sar’s head and he’s helpless to do anything besides watch it go in. Actually, Van der Sar hasn’t had a bad afternoon despite the 4 goals. He was hung out to dry on the first goal, nearly stopped the penalty, and was helpless on the last two goals. Not much consolation to him, I’m sure.(*Taken from :Soccerlens.com*)

And, I just got back my results this morning at 8.04am! The SMS system always bring good news which I love.

=D I was actually expecting much of a B or a B+ because of my team members, I was more of the slacker. =X But great! And I can't complain much AS MUCH AS I want to because it's only a slight increase in grades anyway.

And another thing is, we got through to the top 16 to round 2 of Software developement. Good start. =D

And, travelling plans have been confirmed and booked! This is one good news because I have been yearning to get out of this concrete jungle ever since I came back from the 42-days Beijing trip. =D

In this entry, there are more red than blue, which means, it's a happy post! =D

Just to account for my short period of disappearance these 2 days

*Updated, those in red are updated. =D

Good morning babies! I have been working for the two days at IT Show at Suntec City Exhibition hall. And it finally ended today.

I have been helping out at the Prolink booth and though it's crap tiring, it's pretty fun. But..no another time! This is the third time working for the IT Show, but honestly, I won't do it again. I mean, everytime I work at the IT Show, I would feel that people sucks and the helpers (*people like me*) are more like slaves! With less than 15mins for lunch and dinner, you barely have enough time to eat/relax and rest your legs! But I am glad I only worked for two days or my legs would be rotting already! My legs are in terrible state now because my leg are both prone to cramping and they are wobbly. Not only that, my shoulders are aching and my throat is hurting!

And through this IT Show as an Exhibitor, I have notice a few stuffs. The following will be in numbered form. Too tired to care about the flow too! =D

1. I have seen the worst and the better of humans in this IT Show. But the ugly side of humans left me with a heavy heart. It always does that. I mean, in every 30 customers/IT Show go-ers, 2 are actually nice people. Yes, I have done my survey. And. . be it yellow-ed skin or white skin or dark skin, they are equally the same.

There are times when I get tired, I people watch. And I see the way the IT Show go-ers treat us as Exhibitors. You smile and tell them some information (*simple information, nothing complicated*) and not even hoping for you to come in to buy, they just walk away. Not smiling, just looking straight. And for god's sake, we can tell you CAN HEAR US, just that you pretended not to listen. Is it so hard to just SMILE or nod your head to acknowledge the effort made to convey the message across. Where is the basic respect? There are some that smile and nod their heads of course. I loveee those people! Like many many! Those really made my day when I see shitty people that ignore you totally.

2. Smarter people/educated people doesn't mean that they are polite and civilised. Most of the nice ones are the not as educated people as those "technical people" who obviously recieved more education.

3. There are freaking people who would argue over $5 dollar optical mouse.

4. I served a couple of deaf customers today and they are super polite. (*there are times I would love to condemn the normal beings -us*) At first, when I see the couple, I could tell that they couldn't speak, but wasn't sure if they were deaf. I talked to them and they politely signaled to me that they couldn't speak. I freaked out! It's the first time I communicated with the deaf/mute. But they were patient and and yea! Sealed the deal. It's time like this that I wished I could communicate in hand signals rather than pointing and doing simple signals. And the guy was wearing a Liverpool Jersey! =D See, soccer is the international language. =D

5. Accept that humans are hypocrite at times and yes, am fine with it. Well, that is if nobody is hurt in the process.

6. Packing up after IT show can be a killer yet fun.

7. There are people/customers that would be so particular about the warranty of a mouse that is S$5-S$7 dollars

8. 70% of customers I served are non-locals.

9. Standing for hours is so tiring

10. But promoting without much stress/pressure is super fun.

11. People can rude to the extent of putting down the brand/product infront of the promoters. Moral values down the drain man.

12. There are suckers I faced, but the nice/polite ones really made my day and the 2 days of serving at the IT Fair a great one!

Nights children.

Beer

Don't the picture look so omg-ly yummy?! Perfect for the cold or the warm weather (*in my case*). I just don't like the smell after drinking beer. Smells very much like an old man (*oh well, because old man loves drinking beer*)

Everyone knows I love to drink. And I especially love beer. I love it chilled or room temperature but most people drink beer chilled. Drinking beer at room temperature can be something different because you can really taste the flavour/taste.

The above picture of two glasses of beer are from Vietnam called Bia hơi. I heard it's good. Never tried it before

I love my Carlsberg! =D I prefer it more than Tiger Beer. Tiger's too stinky for my liking already! I love Carlsberg because it's much sweeter. And oh well..... =D
I would love to hold a bottle of it anytime anyday. Just so you thought I will get drunk doing that, I always thought drinking beer wouldn't get you drunk. Afterall, it's like less than 10%! The recording holding beer is only 10.3% alcohol!

Some people drink for the sake of drinking (*I have heard that*) but I bet no one can turn down beer. The taste is omg-ly awesome! I am craving for it! But I try not to drink often. Why? BEER BELLY. I have read some stuffs online about beer belly. And there's always two sides to things. One part of it says it does cause beer belly, and another says it doesn't. Oh well.

Like from Beer facts and fiction,
Myth
A "beer belly" is caused by drinking beer.
Fact
A "beer belly" is caused by eating too much food. No beer or other alcohol beverage is necessary.
I would love to read this man! Because I don't eat when I drink. Most of the time. =D But. . . until I read this.
Myth
Drinking alcohol causes weight gain.
Fact
This is a very commonly believed myth, even among medical professionals, because alcohol has caloric value. However, extensive research around the world has found alcohol consumption be does not cause weight gain in men and is often associated with a small weight loss in women.
There can never be sex equality huh? Oh by the way, my first sip of beer was when I was like in primary school, or was it in kindergarten? When was yours?

Okay, on to more facts from 8 amazing beer facts,

1. The first recipe for beer dates back to ancient Egypt. In fact, an ancient Egyptian prayer known as “The Hymn to Ninkasi” serves as a way of remembering the recipe. (*I heard the first recipe in the world was for beer!*)

2. Over 35 billion gallons of beer are sold each year. Compare that to around 46 billion gallons of bottled water being produced each year and you realize that we drink nearly as much beer as bottled water. (*I wouldn't even mind drinking beer the rest of my life!*)

3. Drinking beer is not the sole cause of a beer belly. Being a lazy loser and doing nothing all day are causes of a beer belly. The term beer belly comes from the notion that beer makes us fat. (*I so hope this is true*)

4. A labeorphile is a person who collects beer bottles.

5. A meadophile is a person who studies beer bottles.

6. In the late 1800s, brewing interests began to dominate the British parliament. This dominance is sometimes referred to as Beerocracy. The Beerocracy gained its money and power from the ownership of breweries.

7. Beer companies spend close to $1 billion a year on US advertising.

8. The first beer cans were produced in December 1935.

But the fact that I loved most is from here. Ancient Beer Recipe. It's very lengthy, so I won't be copying-pasting here. I would highlight some points. =D

When archaeologists discovered a four-thousand-year old Mesopotamian clay tablet, they were naturally curious to learn what it was all about. So a good deal of scholarly effort was put into the task of deciphering its cryptic markings.

As it turns out, the ancient Mesopotamians were recording a recipe for beer. And not just any recipe, but a formula handed down from the god Enki himself.

..

The Babylonians made sixteen kinds of beer, using everything from white and black barley to wheat and honey. Beer was extolled in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, where the varieties listed include "beer of truth" and "beer of eternity."

..

I love Egypt history and I love beer. =D My favourite picture of the day!

Prepared a simple meal for lunch! Unagi in teriyaki sauce (*no cooking needed, just pop into microwave oven*), boil potatoes and cabbage. Rice is cooked in microwave oven.

Nice, but nearly cried eating it because the rice is too chewy!

Good digs

Well, I suddenly had this rush to pack my place and went to this cupboard that haven't been packed for like years! And guess what I found? A scrapbook from year 200! =D I think I am like, in Primary 6 that time?! Besides that, I found many many pictures and this yo-yo (*I forgot the name*).

I found this quote online which I really like.
Life is like a taxi. The meter just keeps a-ticking whether you are getting somewhere or just standing still.
- Lou Erickson
What can I say? It says so much! =D That's why I hate taking taxis! That's the reason why some taxis love taking the route with traffic jams! You know, I can be very crazy when nearing exams and I have friends asking me why am I studying like a mad person! =D Yeaps, because I have this very stupid (*well, it makes sense to me*) logic. Everyone of us pay the same school fees right? So why should my certificate be a piece of useless paper when others are certificates to better chance of having a better future? Right? What I mean is, I paid that money, I try to make the best out of what's possible. (*As you can see, I am typing on and on because photobucket is taking a long time to upload the pictures*)

So this is what's infront of my desk. Old photos and new photos. Perhaps you might have realized that I have alot of Beijing pictures on my desk. XD I printed like 600+ photos there! I have lot's of other pictures to develope too, but Singapore rates are like so high!

And on to the scrapbook that I have found! =D Don't laugh, you can't expect a nicer cover page from a primary 6!
Photobucket
Yes yes, this is on my first page! =D I was like crazy over Micheal Oven then.
Photobucket
On this page, I have a list of LFC managers till Gerard Houllier and profiles of M. Owen, Robbie Fowler, Emile Heskey and Sander Westerveld. And I have Jamie Carragher and Sami Hyypia' profile on the next age actually. Perhaps you see the inked cross on one of the profiles. It was because Robbie Fowler was transfered to Leeds!
Photobucket
Yea, the Owen and Heskey combi

We got all the newspaper clippings and bought Match Mag then. I was primary 6! It was all in year 2001. But after M. Owen was sold off, I kind of wasn't as enthu about watching matches. But the feelings kind of came back a few years ago at the World Cup. =D I mean, the family grew up listening/watching soccer in a way. Because my sis and I would always sleep in our parents' room and my dad will be watching soccer.
